Milan have officially confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has extended his contract with the club for another year. The Swedish international spent part of last season injured but returned in time to see the Rossoneri lift the 2021-22 Scudetto.

He’s been adamant that he can continue to play for longer and hinted at a contract renewal that will take him beyond his 41st birthday.

Milan have now officially confirmed his contract extension until 2023 via a statement on the clubs website:

“AC Milan is pleased to announce the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimović’s contract until June 30, 2023. The Swedish forward will continue to wear the number 11 shirt.”
