Lazio have completed the signing of French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi on loan with an obligation to buy next summer. Guendouzi has arrived on a €1 million loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, worth €12 million with €5 million in add-ons and a 10% future resale clause.
The 24-year-old is expected to earn close to €2.5 million per season plus add on’s, and has already begun training with the Lazio first team.
A statement on Lazio’s official website confirmed the move:
S.S. Lazio announces that it has reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille and the player Matteo Guendouzi for the temporary transfer of the contract with the obligation to transform it into a permanent one upon the occurrence of specific sporting conditions.
