Lazio have officially announced the signing of Juventus midfielder Nicolo Rovella on a two-year loan deal. The 21-year-old midfielder has reportedly been a target for Biancocelesti coach Maurizio Sarri for some time now, and was going to be part of Juve’s bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Juventus and Lazio have now confirmed that Rovella will make the move to capital on a two-year loan deal that will include an option to buy. The deal will become a mandatory obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. The transfer is expected to net Juventus around €20 million in total, according to a statement from the Bianconeri:
Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement has been reached with Società Sportiva Lazio S.p.A. for the temporary free disposal, until 30 June 2025, of the registration rights of the player Nicolò Rovella.
The agreement entails the obligation for Lazio to definitely acquire the player’s registrations rights, subject to the achievement of certain given sporting objectives, during seasons 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. The agreed consideration for the definitive acquisition is € 17 million, payable in three years.
