Victor Osimhen has officially signed with Galatasaray after a complicated summer transfer saga. The Turkish club announced the move on Wednesday, bringing an end to speculation about the Nigerian striker’s immediate future.
Osimhen joins Galatasaray on a dry loan from Napoli until the end of June 2025. He will wear the number 45 shirt for his new club. The official statement from Galatasaray confirmed the details of the transfer: “An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Victor James Osimhen and his club SSCN Napoli SPA regarding the temporary free transfer of the player. The player will receive a net seasonal salary of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season.”
Napoli also released a statement regarding the loan move: “SSC Napoli announces that it has temporarily transferred, until June 30, 2025, the sporting performance of the player Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray. At the same time, the Club has reached an agreement with the player for an option, in its favor, of contract renewal until June 30, 2027.”
Osimhen took to his official X (formerly Twitter) profile to express his enthusiasm about joining Galatasaray: “Super excited to be part of the Galatasaray family! ? I can’t wait to give my all and make the most of this new journey with such an amazing group and the fans, Ready to create unforgettable memories together! Let’s go!”
