Paolo Berlusconi, honorary president of Monza as well as brother of the club president Silvio, has confirmed that Juventus are interested in coach Raffaele Palladino. The former Bianconeri youth product has enjoyed a successful first season in charge of the Biancorossi, safely guiding them out of the relegation places and into an impressive 9th place. Their season has included memorable victories over Juventus, Inter and now Scudetto winners Napoli, prompting speculation that Palladino will be a coach to follow for the future.
Speaking with Radio Radio, Paolo Berlusconi confirmed that Juve are the latest club to be linked with Palladino, and that there is real interest in the 39-year-old:
“Palladino? He should stay at Monza, we will talk about it at the end of the year, although he has Juventus looking for him. It will be nice to say no to Juve.
In reference to the comments, Palladino offered his own brief thoughts on the news, denying any contact with the Bianconeri:
“I thank the president for the nice words but if Juventus had called me I would have remembered. But it did not happen. I always tell you the truth, I did not receive any call. Personally I am focused on the game against Sassuolo.”
