Paolo Vanoli top of Torino’s list to replace Ivan Juric

Venezia coach Paolo Vanoli is at the top of Torino’s list as they look to find a replacement for Ivan Juric. The Granata look set to part ways with the Croatian coach when his contract come to an end next month, with work underway to find his successor.

Gianluca di Marzio reports that Vanoli’s profile has long been appreciated by the Torino management. After missing out on Gernnaro Gattuso, Vincenzo Italiano was also highly regarded, however, his appointment is now very complicated, both in terms of timing and due to his status as the Fiorentina coach, which puts him on the radar of Napoli and Bologna.

Vanoli is thus getting closer and closer to Serie A, whether it’s to be achieved on the field with Venezia (where he will attempt direct promotion on the final matchday or playoffs in Serie B) or through Torino, who will make an attempt to sign him.

Vanoli has been at the helm of Venezia since midway through last season. In 65 total matches, he has achieved an average points tally per game of 1.69. Previously, he was the coach of Spartak Moscow, a technical collaborator for Conte’s title-winning Inter, and an assistant coach at Chelsea.
