Sky Sport Italia report that Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez has reportedly tested positive in a doping control, with the test, dating back to November 2022, being carried out when the Argentine player wore the Sevilla jersey.
According to Relevo, Papu has reportedly tested positive in a doping control which dates back to a control test done in November 2022, on the eve of the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which Argentina won. Confirmation came from the player’s entourage. Monza are aware of ongoing proceedings, but at the moment non one has been notified in Italy.
The Argentine returned to Italy in September and has so far made two appearances in the Monza shirt against Salernitana and Sassuolo, both as a substitute, for a total of 40 minutes on the pitch
