Parma Appoint Former Juventus Executive Federico Cherubini as New CEO

Parma have initiated a significant organisational shake-up with the unexpected departure of former CEO Luca Martines and the appointment of Federico Cherubini, ex-sporting director of Juventus, as the new Chief Executive Officer. The announcement was made official today by club owner Kyle J. Krause, with Cherubini set to assume his operational role starting Monday, January 27, 2025.

In an official statement, Parma Calcio highlighted Cherubini’s extensive experience in strategic leadership, talent development, and operational excellence, gained during his tenure at Juventus Football Club and other national entities. The club emphasized that Cherubini’s leadership philosophy, which combines tradition and innovation, aligns perfectly with Parma’s mission to promote youth development, achieve excellence on and off the field, and contribute to corporate social responsibility programs.

Cherubini, who became Juventus’ sporting director following Fabio Paratici’s departure, was previously involved in the high-profile “plusvalenze case” that led to the dissolution of Juventus’ entire Board of Directors, then led by Andrea Agnelli. His 16-month ban, which began on January 20, 2023, has now expired, allowing him to resume operations within FIFA, UEFA, and the Italian Football Federation.

Parma outlined Cherubini’s strategic role, stating that as CEO, he will lead strategic initiatives across all aspects of the club. This includes overseeing both men’s and women’s first teams, youth development, and commercial initiatives ranging from branding and marketing to sponsorship and revenue generation. His collaborative approach, in partnership with President Kyle J. Krause and the management team, is expected to strengthen Parma’s foundations and position the club as a cornerstone of Italian football.
