Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Rensch, whose contract with Ajax is set to expire in June 2025, has become an attractive prospect for Roma. The Italian club is keen to capitalize on the player’s contract situation, which could potentially lower Ajax’s asking price.
Currently, Ajax values Rensch at around 10 million euros. However, with his contract entering its final 18 months, there’s room for negotiation on this figure. Roma’s interest is timely, as from February, Rensch would be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs for a free transfer in the summer of 2025.
The young defender has impressed since breaking into Ajax’s first team, showcasing his versatility and attacking prowess from the right-back position. His potential acquisition aligns with Roma’s strategy of investing in young talent with high resale value.
