Roma have reportedly taken a keen interest in signing Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada after Milan decided against signing the free agent. The 26-year-old was very close to agreeing terms with the Rossoneri after his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt came to an end, but the latest reports from Italy suggest Milan will look elsewhere.
Calciomercato and Nicolo Schira now report that the midfielder is of interest to Roma this summer, with the Giallorossi stepping up their efforts to sign him in the coming weeks.
With Davide Frattesi’s set to join Inter, Roma will now turn their attentions to Kamada instead, and have already begun talks with the players entourage.
Schira claims that the player is greatly appreciated by Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho, and the club are prepared to offer him a salary of around €2.5 million per season.
