Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanches is the latest player to be linked with a potential transfer to Roma. The Giallorossi are in need of some steel in the centre of the pitch and were expected to complete the signing of Davide Frattesi this summer. The Sassuolo midfielder, who came through the Roma youth setup, is now expected to join Inter as a replacement for Marcelo Brozovic, meaning the capital club will have to rethink their plans.
Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca di Marzio reports that Sanches is a profile that Roma are interested in as they see him as a potential alternative to Davide Frattesi. Roma have not given up in the race to sign the Italian international, but are looking elsewhere, just in case.
Sanches is expected to leave PSG this summer after failing to secure a place in the starting XI and is greatly appreciated by compatriots Jose Mourinho and club sporting director Tiago Pinto.
