Assignon, who spent the last season on loan at Burnley, has attracted attention with his performances. During his stint in the Premier League, he made 15 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
The 23-year-old defender has also demonstrated his capabilities in Ligue 1, where he has accumulated 46 appearances, scoring one goal and assisting five times. His experience and potential make him an appealing option for Roma, who are also pursuing Matias Soulé from Juventus.
