Roma have decided to make a move for Leeds United defender Diego Llorente before the transfer window closes tomorrow. The Giallorossi have had a difficult month with both Rick Karsdop and Nicolo Zaniolo stealing the headlines after falling out with the club management and subsequently being transfer listed.
Their only signing in the January window was picking up Ola Solbakken on a free transfer, but Mourinho has reportedly been keen to bolster his squad for the remainder of the season as they push for Champions League football.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma are now set to sign Leeds centre back Llorente on loan for the rest of the season, with a buy option included in the deal.
The Spanish defender could arrive in the capital later tonight before completing his medical and being announced as a new signing tomorrow.
