The latest Roma transfer news has revealed that Jadon Sancho has turned down the chance to join the Giallorossi.
Sancho has been trying to navigate a move away from Manchester United all summer without success. His vast salary is the main stumbling block for potential suitors.
Juventus were one of the clubs keen to bring Sancho to Italy earlier this summer. However, that move didn’t materialize as Sancho is reportedly unwilling to take a pay-cut.
🚨⚠️ Jadon Sancho, currently not accepting AS Roma proposal and not even in talks with Besiktas now.

Roma Transfer News
On August 15, Roma officials opened talks with Jadon Sancho’s representatives about starting a fresh chapter of his career in Serie A.
Many deemed that transferring to Italy would have helped Sancho reach the heights he did whilst at Borussia Dortmund. He has encountered a number of problems in the Premier League that likely wouldn’t happen in Rome.
Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini‘s was keen to bring Sancho onboard to join his new Stadio Olimpico project. The veteran Italian coach would have protected Sancho from the press, probably stopped his social media activity and helped him focus on his game.
However, Sancho does not want to make the switch to join Gasperini’s side. The English winger still wants to pocket approximately €300-350k per week.
The news comes a huge blow to the Giallorossi who were keen to sign Sancho. Even in a World Cup year, a move to Italy would have been hugely beneficial to Sancho but his financial desires appear to be dictating his next move.
🚨🚫 Jadon Sancho’s agent also informed AS Roma of their decision not to accept the proposal.

Who Will Jadon Sancho Sign For?
That really is a million dollar question. Jadon Sancho has had first dibs to sign for a number of top European clubs this summer but not taken up any of the proposals.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas were in contention to sign Sancho but it appears that it won’t come to fruition any time soon.
That is down to the fact he doesn’t want to move to Turkey. It would have allowed the 25-year-old the chance to link up with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Elsewhere, the likes of Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Inter, Dortmund and Chelsea have all shown willingness. Nonetheless, it seems like Sancho is willing to run down his contract unless someone comes in and matches his lofty wage demands.
That would mean the Saudi Pro League is the likeliest destination for Sancho. Saudi clubs would handsomely pay whatever Sancho desired to get him on board.
Soccer Supporters Reaction To Jadon Sancho
After Jadon Sancho reportedly turned down a move to Roma, soccer supporters have been quick to voice their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).
Sky Sports reporter Dougie Critchley explained how playing in Rome under Gian Piero Gasperini – who has a reputation for reviving players’ careers – was a fine chance for Sancho to get his career back on track.
Others were a little less understanding. Especially those with ties to Manchester United. One user posted: “Nobody in the world hates Man United more than Jadon Sancho.”
Another stated: “Jadon Sancho really is a fascinating character because the reality is.. what is he actually waiting for? Does he think he’s bigger than Chelsea/Roma? Because I can tell you for free he’s not.”
“Sancho treating Roma like a warm-up lap, eyes clearly set on a bigger stage,” said another fan.
“£300k a week is the number standing between Sancho and a fresh start in Rome,” posted Zahid Hassan.

Finding an agreement with a player currently earning a reported £300,000 per week, is always going to be a challenge for a Serie A club…
But I'm amazed Jadon Sancho isn't jumping at the chance to join Roma.

Jadon Sancho's fee to Manchester United was £73m. On an average wage of £300k, excluding the salary that Chelsea & Dortmund have covered in his loans, that's cost upwards of £50m. £125m+ wasted for the worst transfer in Premier League history, a glorified FIFA player.

Here’s how bad of a player Jadon Sancho is.
In an era when Man United make nothing but bad signings, he is *so* bad that he single handedly shuts down the debate over who the club’s worst ever signing is.
