Roma and Napoli could go head-to-head in the race to sign striker Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer. The Argentine is without a club at present, having failed to agree a contract extension with Juventus. Inter were thought to be in the lead to sign the 28-year-old but have failed to agree terms as yet.

Argentine outlet TyC Sport report that Roma are the only club at present who are prepared to meet Dybala’s €6m per season demands.

Corriere della Sera now report that Napoli are prepared to offer La Joya €6m per season, the money that they would spent on the salary of Kaildou Koulibaly.

Milan are also thought to be interested but don’t view Dybala as a priority for the moment as they focus their attention on Club Brugge talent Charles De Ketelaere.

One sticking point could be Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis who typically demands that all Napoli players sign over their image rights to the club, however there’s a suggestion that club and player could come to a compromise over this clause.
