Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is being linked with a move to Roma when his contract with the Bianconeri ends in the summer. Juve management have made the decision not to renew the Argentine’s contract, prompting speculation that he would move to Milan or Inter as he wished to remain in Italy.
Il Corriere dello Sport now report that Roma boss José Mourinho is pushing the club to sign Dybala and has even taken the step of informing La Joya about his interest in him in the January window.
The report also suggests that a member of the 28-year-old’s entourage believes the Giallorossi would be the ‘best option’ for Dybala this summer, despite having held talks with Inter, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Barcelona, Manchester United, Tottenham and Sevilla.
Despite the stiff competition, Jose Mourinho’s comments about the player could yet sway him to Roma with the Portuguese coach reportedly telling the player: ‘You are a great player and I’d like to coach a player like you.’
Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun was in Rome this week and was supposed to meet Tiago Pinto, but the meeting was postponed and may not be held until Roma have secured European football for next season.
