Roma striker Artem Dovbyk has made a decision on his future that could open the door to a January move within Italy, with Milan, Napoli and Como all mentioned as possible options.

Everton push, but Dovbyk sees his future in Italy

Although Dovbyk is a target for Everton of the English Premier League, he reportedly wants to stay in Serie A.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the Toffees are “insisting” on a deal for Dovbyk.

However, the Ukraine international would rather remain in Italy than move to England.

Di Marzio says Dovbyk’s Roma future is far from certain and that the market could “heat up” in January.

Dovbyk joined the Giallorossi from Girona last year after finishing as La Liga’s top scorer.

Roma invested heavily to land him, but he has faced scrutiny in recent months.

Everton’s interest is not new, with prior reports suggesting a possible swap involving Dovbyk and Beto.

However, it looks as though Dovbyk has made his feelings clear regarding his future after Roma.

Milan, Napoli and Como could now take action

Di Marzio says Como are the club that have shown the most interest in Dovbyk, but so far, nothing serious has materialised.

An opportunity could also develop involving Napoli and Milan, the transfer insider added.

Di Marzio says Napoli could potentially offer Lorenzo Lucca in a swap deal. They have an obligation to buy him from Udinese.

As for Milan, they pursued Dovbyk in the summer, and the player himself was reportedly keen on the idea of playing for the Rossoneri.

And while Milan have already brought in Niclas Fullkrug, they are apparently still looking around for other attacking options.

Strikers are high on the agenda of many Serie A teams ahead of the January transfer window.

Furthermore, Roma want Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United, which would push Dovbyk further down the pecking order.

With that in mind, there’s a good chance the Ukrainian forward will be on the move in January.

And while the English Premier League clubs boast considerable financial muscle, it seems as though Dovbyk has made his mind up.

Whether Milan, Napoli and Como – or anybody else – will act, that remains to be seen.
