Runjaic on Udinese’s win over Cagliari “We worked hard to prepare for this game”

Udinese manager Kosta Runjaic expressed his delight with the team’s performance in their victory against Cagliari in the ninth round of Serie A. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Runjaic shared his thoughts on the match and individual player performances.

Regarding the overall game, Runjaic stated, “It was a fantastic match this evening. I’m very happy to win here without conceding a goal in front of our fans. Great feelings. We worked hard to prepare for this game, and we demonstrated good play, performing intensely from the first minute. We won many duels. At the beginning, we had a good balance in ball management and attacking depth. Obviously, there was the decisive episode of the expulsion, but we remained very attentive.”

When asked about the improved performance of Karlstrom, Runjaic commented, “I’m not sure, he played for an important club like Lech Poznan. I like him a lot; he knows how to take responsibility. Against Milan, he wasn’t satisfied with how he played and wanted to improve. I think tonight he played well in both phases. He’s a player who I believe can do even better.”
