Bologna Set Sam Beukema Asking Price With Napoli Keen To Snare Dutch Star

Start

The latest Sam Beukema transfer news has revealed that Bologna have set an asking price amid Napoli’s reported interest.

Antonio Conte’s side are looking to strengthen their backline as they bid for back-to-back Serie A titles in 2025-26. The Azzurri lifted the Scudetto after beating Inter to 1st in the rankings on the last day of the season.

Now, the maverick Italian boss wants a series of new faces at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The likes of the Nerazzurri, Atalanta, Milan, Juventus and Roma are all expected to challenge for Conte’s crown.

Sam Beukema Transfer News

Sam Beukema has been tracked by Napoli since the start of the year owing to the Dutchman’s fine performances for Bologna. The 26-year-old played a key role in helping the Rossoblu win the Coppa Italia in 2024-25.

Beukema has quickly established himself as a fans favorite at the Renato Dall’Ara since signing from AZ Alkmaar in 2023. Now, the Azzurri are circling.

Antonio Conte’s side are also keeping tabs on other defenders this summer. One of those is 20-year-old Italian centre-back Luca Marianucci.

However, after a bid to Empoli was accepted, Marianucci’s Napoli transfer was delayed. This was simply because his medical was to be moved to June 10.

Sam Beukema 2024-25 Stats

The Sam Beukema 2024-25 stats make for very impressive reading. Beukema played a total of 47 games across all competitions and registered 17 clean sheets.

Despite not scoring, Beukema chipped in with two assists and also played the full 90 minutes against Milan in the Coppa Italia final.

Beukema has never represented the Dutch senior side but his glowing and growing reputation will surely mean it’s just a matter of time.

The 26-year-old has valuable Champions League experience and he’ll certainly do his international chances no harm at all by potentially playing in Europe’s elite club competition again next season.

Sam Beukema Asking Price

According to FootballItalia, the Sam Beukema asking price currently sits at €30million plus bonuses. That fee is relatively modest and is more than affordable from Napoli’s perspective.

From Bologna’s point of view, Vincenzo Italiano’s side will make a tidy profit on Beukema. He moved to the Serie A side for €7.5m from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.

However, the Dutch side does have a 20% sell-on clause so they could expect to fetch around €6m if a deal can be concluded with Napoli.

Is Sam Beukema Good Enough For Napoli?

Only time will tell if Sam Beukema is good enough for Napoli. After his impressive two seasons at Bologna, he would certainly be a contender to make the Azzurri’s starting XI.

Last year, Amir Rrahmani and Alessandro Buongiorno were the main central defenders. The latter did entertain a series of injuries so left back Mathias Olivera also helped cover in his absence.

With the above in mind, Beukema would need to challenge for a regular starting berth in Antonio Conte’s side. But he is certainly capable if he continues to improve and flourish at the highest level.

Although the prices would have drastically shortened for Beukema to move to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, US bettors can track all the latest player transfer markets this summer via the safest online betting sites.
