West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca reportedly wants to make a return to Italy this summer, with Juventus his preferred destination. The Italian international made the move to the Premier League last summer after impressive displays with Sassuolo, but has failed to settle in England, featuring largely from the bench for the Hammers.
Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo now reports that the 24-year-old striker is keen to restart his career, ideally back home in Italy, with his preference being a switch to the Bianconeri.
Juventus are yet to resolve their off-the-pitch issues, with the threat of failing to qualify for European football hanging over them. There’s a suggestion that the club may be forced to cut back in the summer, potentially selling Dusan Vlahovic to bring in funds for their summer transfer market.
Scamacca could be available on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season, a prospect which may entice Juventus.
