Juventus have confirmed that defender Mattia De Sciglio has injured the cruciate ligaments in his right knee. The full-back was stretched offer during Juve’s 2-1 win over Lecce and this latest injury means his season is effectively over. Mattia De Sciglio, following today’s injury to his right knee, underwent diagnostic tests at J|Medical which revealed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament. Surgery will therefore be necessary in the next few days.
The estimated recovery time could be between 5-8 months, meaning another lengthy setback for the 30-year-old who has already spent large periods of his Bianconeri career on the sidelines.
