Reports from Italy claim Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. The Serbian international has under 12 months left on his contract with the Biancocelesti and has reportedly told the club he will not be signing a renewal this summer.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito was asked about the midfielders future in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport and confirmed that while he doesn’t want to sell the 28-year-old, he won’t keep players against their will.
La Repubblica report that Milinkovic-Savic is close to signing for Al-Hilal in a move that will see him earn close to €20 million a season, while Lazio will net €40 million from his sale.
Calciomercato confirm the news, saying the move is close to being unlocked, with just the overall valuation and commissions to agents to be resolved. The deal is expected to be closed in the next 24-48 hours
