With Napoli on the cusp of clinching the Scudetto, Scott McTominay is strongly favoured to win the award having scored game-winning goals on several occasions, keeping their title push afloat in the process.
Juventus are eyeing a swoop for Mateo Retegui ahead of the summer window, and having scored 25 league goals in a stunning breakout campaign, could well rival McTominay for the award.
Elsewhere, Como’s Nico Paz has been a revelation since arriving at Como last summer, and although he is strongly linked with an immediate return to former club Real Madrid this summer, he may scoop the U23 award before his departure.
