Juventus Handed Major Boost In Jadon Sancho Pursuit As New Update May Force Manchester United Into Lowering Asking Price

Start

Juventus have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, as Manchester United are facing an issue which means the Red Devils may accept a lower bid.

Are Juventus Close To Signing Jadon Sancho?

The Manchester United star has endured a miserable time during his spell at Old Trafford, failing to live up to expectations after joining for around $90 million in 2021.

His career with the Red Devils entered its demise after United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates in September 2023, as Erik ten Hag claimed Sancho was left out of the side after poor performances in training.

The England international took to social media to hit back at the Dutchman and was exiled from the squad from that point onward, joining Borussia Dortmund on loan the following January.

Sancho then went on to join Chelsea on loan for the 2024/25 campaign, with what was believed to be an obligation to buy for $30m if Chelsea met the requirements.

However after just five goals in 41 appearances for the Blues, Enzo Maresca decided to activate the clause that meant Chelsea paid Manchester United $7m to send Sancho back to Old Trafford.

Now, the 25-year-old has no future under Ruben Amorim and is almost guaranteed to be leaving this summer, attracting interest from Juventus.

According to reports, the Italian side have been in direct contact with the Englishman and talks are continuing to intensify as he is willing to wait for a deal to be agreed – instead of looking elsewhere.

Juventus are favorites to sign the former Borussia Dortmund star on the best betting apps and may be able to land Sancho’s signature for a lower fee after recent revelations at Old Trafford.

How Much Do Manchester United Want For Jadon Sancho?

During this transfer saga surrounding Jadon Sancho, United have reportedly been set on their asking price of around $30m, but this figure may drop as the Red Devils get more desperate.

The Englishman has one-year remaining on his deal in Manchester, meaning he would leave the club on a free in June 2026 and there is no chance of a new contract being agreed.

Fearing this possibility, United are reportedly willing to budge on their asking price and cut their losses even more as the Red Devils look to make multiple additions this summer.

Ruben Amorim’s side have been heavily linked with Bryan Mbeumo this summer, having two bids rejected by Brentford and these negotiations have failed to progress.

According to reports, Inter are ready to swoop in for the Brentford star if United cannot meet the Bees’ demands and this could force the Premier League side into selling Sancho for a lower amount.

The Red Devils are also looking to sell Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony, as Ruben Amorim has exiled the opening pair to training away from the first team.

No bid has been submitted for any of these players, meaning as time goes on the red half of Manchester will become more desperate and consider lower bids.
