As Verona and Inter prepare to face off, both teams are grappling with injury setbacks that could impact their lineup choices.

Verona’s squad depth is being tested with several key players sidelined. Long-term absentees Pawel Dawidowicz, Juan Cruz, and Martin Frese continue to be unavailable. Adding to manager Marco Zanetti’s concerns, midfield lynchpin Ondrej Duda is doubtful after picking up an injury while on international duty with Slovakia. Duda’s absence could extend into December, potentially leaving a significant gap in Verona’s midfield.

There is a silver lining for Verona, however, as Dailon Livramento returns to the squad after serving a one-match suspension in their previous fixture in Tuscany.

Inter, too, face selection challenges. Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu suffered a minor thigh issue during Turkey’s UEFA Nations League match against Wales. This setback is likely to see Simone Inzaghi turn to 22-year-old Albanian midfielder Kristjan Asllani. If selected, it would mark Asllani’s first Serie A start since mid-September, offering him a chance to impress in Calhanoglu’s absence.

On a more positive note for the Nerazzurri, Carlos Augusto has recovered from a muscle strain that kept him out of Inter’s last five matches. His return bolsters Inzaghi’s defensive options as Inter look to maintain their strong form in Serie A.

Verona (4-2-3-1): Montipò; Tchatchoua, Magnani, Coppola, Bradaric; Serdar, Belahyane; Suslov, Harroui, Lazovic; Tengstedt

Inter  (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto; Correa, Thuram
