Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi flew into a rage at the fourth official during Wednesday’s Coppa Italia clash against Milan.
Inzaghi made his feelings clear as the Rossoneri cruised past the Nerazzurri 3-0 to book their spot in the final. The 4-1 aggregate defeat ended Inzaghi’s hopes of winning the treble.
It’s now back to back losses for the Italian tactician after he saw his side go down 1-0 to Bologna on Sunday. That result means Inter only lead the Serie A table on goal difference from Napoli.
With the UEFA Champions League showdown against Barcelona coming up, Inzaghi’s charges need an upturn in fortunes ASAP.
The Coppa Italia result will leave a sour taste in the mouth of players and supporters alike. Luka Jovic scored twice before Tijjani Reijnders ensured Sergio Conceicao’s clinched their spot at the Stadio Olimpico next month.

Simone Inzaghi Rages At Fourth Official During Milan Clash
Simone Inzaghi lost his cool with the fourth official and had one request he wanted him to pass on to match referee Daniele Doveri.
“I don’t want added time, you won’t take the p*** out of me, ” the Inter head coach bellowed with his side trailing 3-0 to their greatest rivals.
With the tie already over, Inzaghi got his wish. Doveri blew the full-time whistle just a few seconds after the 90 minutes had passed.
Naturally, the Italian boss was fuming with his side’s lacklustre performance and worrying dip in form. He explained after the match how he felt ‘sorry for the fans.’
“We’re sorry for our fans, who once again showed up in great numbers tonight. That’s football—you have to give credit to Milan.
“There’s regret for the first half, because based on what we created, we would’ve deserved more.
“In the second half, we conceded from a corner kick, and luck wasn’t exactly on our side either. After that, we did a lot less compared to the first half.
“Of course [I’m worried]—we’re not used to losing two in a row.
“We need to analyse both defeats the right way. We didn’t deserve to lose in Bologna, and tonight we ran out of energy in the second half.”
