Soulé: “Offers Arrived, but I’m Staying at Roma. It’s the Club’s Decision and What I Want Too”

Roma winger Matias Soulé could have left the club after just a few months, but he has decided to stay: “Offers came in, but I’m staying here.” The Argentine forward was given a starting role by Claudio Ranieri against Napoli in the 23rd round of Serie A. After the match, he spoke to DAZN, sharing his thoughts on various topics.

Addressing his cramps at the end of the game, Soulé explained, “I haven’t played much due to the coach’s choices, but I’ve always trained at 100%. I’m exhausted; it’s been a long time since I played like this. The coach is giving me confidence, and I’m happy to get more minutes each week. I got cramps on a ball Dybala gave me. I didn’t have much playing time, but whenever the coach puts me on the field, I always make sure I’m ready.”

When asked about training and playing with Dybala, Soulé expressed his admiration: “I learn a lot from him and from everyone. Especially from him because he’s left-footed, I try to see what he does. He perhaps plays more centrally, while I’m more on the right wing. I watch him like I used to watch Di Maria at Juventus: being with them, you learn a lot, both on and off the field.”

Regarding his decision to stay at Roma, Soulé confirmed, “Of course. Yes, I’ve already spoken with the coach, and he told me, ‘Stay here.’ Offers came in, but we talked, and I’m staying. It’s what they decided and what I want too.”
