Stuttgart manager director Alexander Wehrle played down links between Milan and Serhou Guirassy: ‘He’s comfortable in Germany’. Reports in the Italian press have suggested that Milan would be prepared to pay the strikers €17 million release clause in January, as they look to bolster their beleaguered front line.
Speaking with BILD, Wehrle explained why he thinks Guirassy is likely to remain at Stuttgart for the foreseeable future:
“Here he is at ease with his family and has an important role in the team. He really appreciates it. He is primarily interested in playing football and scoring goals. Serhou wants to play in a team that works”.
“In the discussions and chats we have, he emphasises several times that he feels very comfortable in Stuttgart. Staying in Germany? At the moment I don’t see any other signs.”
