Thiago Motta: “Bologna and I have grown together”

Thiago Motta avoided questions about his future, saying his only focus is the upcoming match against Frosinone. The Rossoblu travel to the Stadio Benito Stirpe to take on a Frosinone side in desperate need of a result. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Motta touched on the upcoming fixture by reflecting on his personal growth alongside the team, saying:

“I have grown alongside the team; we have all improved immensely. The players help me every day to understand what is best for the team, to stay focused on my work to get the most out of them, both on and off the field. All of this serves as motivation to strive for excellence continually, fostering healthy competition within the group and aiming to create something new.”

Avoiding speculation about his future, Motta emphasized his focus solely on the present: “I am only thinking about the Frosinone match. It will be a complicated game, full of challenges, and we are all well aware of this. They are an organized and well-coached team. In football, what matters is performing well together. At Bologna, I have everything I need to work at my best, starting with the group of players I coach.”

Expanding on his team’s impact on the football landscape, Motta articulated, “Why did I say that this Bologna is good for football? I think the football world wants to see a team like ours, a team that, through hard work and group cohesion, can compete with teams considered stronger. The ambition is to make everyone more competitive.”
