The latest Tim Weah transfer news has indicated that Marseille are closing in on the Juventus and USMNT star.
Weah’s future at the Allianz Stadium has been in doubt for most of the 2025 summer transfer window. Now, the 25-year-old finally looks set to leave the Old Lady.
Having signed from Lille in 2023, Weah will be returning to France after two years in Serie A. During his time with the Bianconeri, Weah won the 2023-24 Coppa Italia.
Tim Weah Transfer News
After Tim Weah’s agent slammed Juventus last month, there was little hope that the American soccer star would remain with the club for the 2025-26 campaign.
His agent was upset with the way the Old Lady had treated his client and has been plotting his exit ever since. Weah turned down the chance to join Nottingham Forest earlier this window.
A return to Ligue 1 with Marseille is very much on the horizon. Weah will initially move to the Orange Velodrome on loan with either an option or obligation to buy clause inserted into the deal.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, OM have already agreed upon personal terms with the USMNT international. All that needs to be determined is the final fee.
Why Is Tim Weah Being Allowed To Leave Juventus?
Since head coach Igor Tudor replaced Thiago Motta in March, Tim Weah has found minutes hard to come by under the Croatian.
Weah only started three games under the 47-year-old and doesn’t feature in his plans for 2025-26. Hence why Weah is being fast-tracked for a swift exit.
Something else which didn’t help Weah’s cause was when he slammed Italian cuisine alongside friend and American international Weston McKennie.
Although he likely didn’t mean to cause offence, it was a move that didn’t go down very well with the general population and Juve soccer supporters.
Tim Weah Career Stats
Tim Weah has had a steady yet unspectacular career in the beautiful game to date. The winger/right-back has featured for PSG, Celtic, Lille and Juventus.
Weah has made a total of 225 career appearances and scored 25 times. Six of those strikes came for Juve last year with his most recent goal coming in the 2-0 Serie A victory against Milan in January.
In terms of trophies, Weah has won an impressive four league titles. Two came during his time with the Parisians and he also lifted the Ligue 1 title for Lille. His other came whilst on loan at Celtic.
Weah has also won the Coppa Italia, Scottish Cup and the Trophee des Champions (2). For the USMNT, Weah was part of the roster who won the CONCACAF Nations League in 2019-20, 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Although the best betting apps strongly favor PSG to win Ligue 1 in 2025-26, Marseille’s odds will be trimmed slightly owing to the imminent arrival of serial winner Weah.
