After Gareth Southgate officially announced England’s World Cup 2022 roster, it has been revealed that Milan center-back Fikayo Tomori has been snubbed by the national team.
The Englishman has favoured Everton’s Conor Coady and Tottenham’s Eric Dier over the 24 year-old.
So far this season, Tomori has featured in all of the Rossonerri’s fixtures within the Serie A and played a pivotal role in helping Pioli’s side reach the knockout stage of the Champions League.
Another honourable mention whom was not not selected to take part in the tournament was Chris Smalling. The 30 year-old defender has peaked under Mourinho at Roma, contributing tremendously in the Giallorossi‘s impressive defensive record thus far.
