George has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge on a loan or permanent deal on deadline day. The 19-year-old featured in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
Many believed that would be his last appearance for the Blues. However, it appears he may be staying in west London if another deal can’t be struck before 8pm (CEST) on September 1.

Tyrique George Transfer News
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tyrique George’s proposed move to Roma is currently off. Negotiations have stalled and the 19-year-old will not be transferring to the Stadio Olimpico.
However, there is still time for the Giallorossi to re-enter into talks. The summer transfer window closes later tonight but the clock is very much against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
Meanwhile, George has also been linked with the likes of Fulham, Crystal Palace, Everton, RB Leipzig and even Bundeliga champions Bayern Munich.
Why Is Tyrique George’s Move To Roma Off?
The exact reasoning behind Tyrique George’s failed move to Roma haven’t been made public knowledge. Nonetheless, Fabrizio Romano said on X, formerly Twitter, it was simply down to an agreement not being reached.
Whether that was for a loan or permanent transfer remains to be seen. Speculation has been rife about the Chelsea youngster’s future in recent weeks with the Blues seemingly happy to let George leave Stamford Bridge.
From Roma’s perspective, Gian Piero Gasperini is keen to add more firepower to his ranks. That despite the former Atalanta man winning both Serie A games this season.
Who Has Roma Signed This Summer?
Although Gian Piero Gasperini pleaded with the Roma board for new signings, the Giallorossi has welcomed nine new faces through the door this summer.
The likes of Kostas Tsimikas, Leon Bailey and Evan Ferguson have transferred in on loan deals. Radoslaw Zelezny and Devis Vasquez have joined for free.
Elsewhere, big-money signings Wesley and Neil El Aynaoui have also joined for a combined €49million. Defenders Jan Ziolkowski (€6.6m) and Daniele Ghilardi (€2.5m) have come into the roster from Legia Warsaw and Verona.
