Mlacic towards Udinese as Friulians Enter the Race

Italy is getting closer. And Mlacic Udinese is no longer just a rumour.

Udinese are making a strong move for Branimir Mlacic, trying to beat the competition including Inter, Como, Bologna and even Borussia Dortmund.

The Friulians are pushing hard. And right now, they look very serious.

Why Mlacic Hesitated Over Inter

The Friulians are making a strong push to get the Croatian defender to say yes, and they’re beating out other teams, even some big ones.

Mlacic was born in 2007, and Inter had been interested in him for a while. They had even come to an agreement with Hajduk, but he was always hesitant about moving to Milan.

It wasn’t personal at all.

The player just wanted to join a team that could guarantee him some playing time right away.

He didn’t want to take the big leap, so he was looking for an intermediate step. It’d be tough to find playing time like that at Inter.

A Deal Ready — Decision Still Pending

Everything was set between the clubs for Mlacic’s move to Inter.

They agreed on a transfer fee of about €5 million, but it depends on the player staying on loan in Croatia until the end of the season.

But he’s been slow going, which could mess up the deal with Inter and lead other interested parties to jump in.

Aside from Como, which we mentioned was interested in Mlacic on these web pages, Udinese is also a serious contender. According to the Bianconeri fans, Udinese is trying to overtake Inter.

The Friuli-based club has reportedly reached an agreement with Hajduk similar to that already identified by Inter, for a deal involving the same figures and which would also see Mlacic remain on loan at his current club until the end of the season.

The next few hours could be huge.

Udinese is trying to bounce back from the disappointment of the last round of Serie A matches, and they’re looking to return the favor to Inter on the transfer market.
