Born in the Netherlands, van Breemen developed through the youth ranks of ADO Den Haag before making his mark with Basel. His performances in Switzerland have caught the eye of several clubs, with Udinese now making a concrete move to secure his services.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Serie A side has submitted an official bid of €5 million for van Breemen, demonstrating their serious intent to bring the young defender to Italy. However, Basel is holding out for a higher fee, reportedly seeking €8 million to part ways with their promising talent.
Udinese’s renewed interest in van Breemen comes as Nehuen Perez edges closer to a move to Porto. The Argentine defender’s transfer is expected to be completed for a total package of around €20 million, including fixed fees and bonuses.
