Verona are actively working on bringing back Croatian forward Ante Rebic, who previously played for the club during the 2015/16 season. The club sees him as a key addition to bolster the attack for their new coach, Paolo Zanetti. The Croatian internationals time at Besiktas has been challenging, with the forward managing to score only one goal in 23 appearances across all competitions.
Sky Sprot Italia report that despite these struggles, Verona are keen on his return, viewing him as a valuable asset. This move is also influenced by the potential departure of Tijjani Noslin, who is attracting significant interest from Lazio.
Verona’s ambitions do not end with Rebic, as the club is also targeting Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro, a midfielder currently with Monza. Akpa-Akpro previously worked with Zanetti at Empoli, and the coach is eager to reunite with him in Verona to add depth and experience to the midfield.
Additionally, Verona has set their sights on Grigoris Kastanos, a midfielder from Salernitana. Both players are seen as strategic reinforcements to enhance the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
