Victor Osimhen’s salary has been revealed ahead of his permanent move to Galatasaray, and he looks set to pocket an extra $3.5 million per season in Turkey.

Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray Nears Completion

One of the summer’s biggest ‘will he or won’t he’ sagas looks to have finally found a resolution.

Victor Osimhen, who has demanded the attention of soccer’s elite in recent seasons, will now leave Napoli on a permanent deal, a year after an acrimonious exit on loan to Galatasaray.

Such was the fruitfulness in front of goal at his temporary employers, that they have moved ahead of other interested parties to secure his signature.

Just as it appeared a move to Saudi Arabia looked likely with Al-Hilal looked best positioned for his services, the Nigerian international has done enough to persuade Galatasaray to break the Turkish transfer record.

According to reports, the Turkish Super Lig champions will now match Napoli’s asking price of $87 million — the same as his release clause — although Fabrizio Romano says the fee will be spread out in instalments over five years.

Live betting sites also had him previously pegged for a sideways move within Serie A, with Juventus holding strong interest.

Victor Osimhen Salary at Galatasaray Revealed

Behind only to Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen’s $13 million salary at Napoli meant he was Serie A’s second-highest earner.

The sticking point in negotiations, particularly with Premier League club, has been Osimhen’s insistence on a vastly improved wage and bonus package.

This has effective left only two real resolutions — either stay at a willing and ready Galatasaray, or attempt another career change in Saudi Arabia.

The Turkish league winners have seemingly done enough to persuade him to stay, first making Napoli happy by offering to pay the entirety of his release clause, but also offering Osimhen a bumper salary.

By all accounts, he will earn $3.5 million more per season than his current Napoli deal, plus a slew of performances-related bonuses which could take his annual salary close to $20 million.
