The latest Victor Osimhen transfer news via Fabrizio Romano suggests the Napoli striker won’t be moving to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Instead, Osimhen could potentially remain in Turkey where he spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Galatasaray. The Super Eagles star was widely tipped to play under Simone Inzaghi at Al-Hilal.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted on his official X account explaining that a move to Al-Hilal will not come to fruition. Simply because there’s no agreement between Victor Osimhen and the Saudi side.
Galatasaray remain firmly interested and are arguably Osimhen’s preferred destination. The Turkish giants will be able to offer the Super Eagles striker UCL soccer next season.
A switch to a Serie A rival had been mooted but that is now very unlikely. Especially as the Juventus sporting director categorically ruled out a summer move for Osimhen.
The Old Lady were realistically the only side in Italy’s top-flight who could attract Osimhen in the window but Napoli wouldn’t want to sell him to a rival.
Victor Osimhen Release Clause
Victor Osimhen has a release clause of €75million. At the time of writing, that is the main stumbling block from Galatasaray’s perspective.
The Turkish champions are more than capable of covering Osimhen’s vast wages but aren’t able to meet the desired transfer fee that Napoli wants.
It’s reported that Osimhen would be willing to lower his wage demands which in turn, may free up some extra funds to help meet his release clause.
The likes of Chelsea and Man United are all monitoring the situation but both clubs haven’t directly joined the race for Osimhen. Even Arsenal are understood to be keeping a watchful eye over Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 Galatasaray appearances in 2024-25. It is by far Osimhen’s best return in a single season.
He averaged a goal contribution every 86 minutes. Although the Turkish Super Lig isn’t considered one of Europe’s elite division, Osimhen’s numbers are truly impressive.
Many soccer supporters consider the Napoli man as the best out-and-out striker in the world. Therefore, it’s easy to see why a whole host of clubs are interested in the 26-year-old.
Will Victor Osimhen Quit Napoli?
To put it simply, Victor Osimhen is almost certain to quit Napoli this summer. The Nigerian superstar had a fallout with the hierarchy in Naples and is desperate to move on.
The reason for the bust up was due to the Azzurri demanding an extra €5million whilst in negotiations with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli in 2024. An €80m fee had already been agreed but the Saudi side backed off.
That resulted in an angry reaction from Osimhen’s agent who had a series of furious phone calls with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Giovanni Manna.
Romelu Lukaku was drafted in as Osimhen was shipped out to Galatasaray on loan. There is almost a 0% chance that the Nigerian will ever feature for Antonio Conte’s side again.
