Torino and West Ham have agreed a deal for the transfer of Croatian attacking midfielder Nikola Vlašić. The 25-year-old spent the season on loan with the Granata, who retained an option to sign him outright for around €15 million plus €3 million in ad-on’s.
Sky Sport Italia report that after weeks of negotiations, the two clubs have now ironed out a deal that will see the Croatian international return to Turin for around €12.7 million.
Vlasic has always made it clear that he wanted to agree a permanent move to Torino, telling Tuttosport last week:
“I’m fed up with this dead-end situation. We all know, you first, that I’m not considered an important player here, I’m just one of many in the reserve group. This cannot be the solution. I’ve been telling you for two months that I want to play for Torino, that I no longer want to stay in West Ham under these conditions, on the sidelines, and also that my own family never wants to go back to live in England.”
The player is expected to complete his club medical tomorrow before signing a five-year contract with Torino.
