When Napoli Star David Neres Is Expected Back After Surgery On Ankle Injury

David Neres has taken to social media to tell Napoli fans that his ankle surgery has gone well.
The Napoli winger posted a photo on Instagram to reassure supporters, thanking his wife after the operation.
Neres sustained an ankle tendon injury on January 4 during an away win over Lazio.
Just ten days later, in agreement with the medical staff, Napoli coach Antonio Conte introduced the Brazilian in the second half against Parma.
However, Neres had to come off after only 32 minutes and, on Sunday, he travelled to London for surgery.

David Neres took to social media on Monday afternoon to post a picture of himself in a hospital bed, with his wife by his side.
He wrote: “All went well! Thank you to my wife, who was not only my wife, but also my doctor, physio…”

A number of Napoli colleagues, such as Billy Gilmour, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, wished him well in the comments.
David Neres surgery: When Napoli star should return to action
David Neres is reportedly set for over two months on the sidelines.
According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, he is not expected back in action until April.
Neres has been one of Napoli’s key players in the first half of their season.
Before his injury, the Brazilian had made 25 appearances, scoring six goals and providing four assists.
Neres also spearheaded Napoli’s victory in the Italian Super Cup.
He scored twice in the final against Bologna, along with a goal in the semi-final against AC Milan.
Napoli will now have to make do without Neres as they look to win more silverware this season.
Things are challenging enough for Antonio Conte and his Napoli charges as it is.
The Partenopei are fourth in Serie A, 25th in the Champions League table, and in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.
