Juventus are set to announce a new Club President after Damien Comolli edges closer to a promotion as the new Chief Executive Officer.

The Bianconeri are reportedly looking to hire a new club president during a shareholders meeting in November, as club owner, John Elkann, seeks a fresh approach for the position.

Damien Commoli became the Juventus General Manager in June 2025 and has already impressed the relevant board members, as he is now being pushed for a promotion to CEO.

This is not the only shift that could be made to the Juve hierarchy, as the Bianconeri are expected to make multiple tweaks to their board midway through the 2025/26 season.

Giorgio Chiellini became the Head of Football Institutional Relations in June, but the Italian soccer icon could join the board of directors during the meeting in November.

Currently, Gianluca Ferrero is the President at Juventus after earning the role in January 2023, which came following controversy surrounding the previous member – Andrea Agnelli.

Ferrero is still highly regarded by the Juventus owner, but Elkann is said to be looking for a new person that ticks different boxes involving the sport itself and business.

One man that has been linked with the role is Juventus icon, Alessandro Del Piero, who has recently been involved in revealing the new Juventus hall of fame feature in the club museum.

The Italian has recently acquired a coaching license and is often seen as a pundit of CBS, but is well adverse to the behind the scenes action in soccer – supporting the sports marketing agency ‘STADS’.

Del Piero’s link to the new Juventus President role is largely from supporters, as fans are also suggesting Michel Platini as a possible candidate in November.

The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best players in Juventus history, but has endured a difficult time after his playing career – being banned for eight years in 2015 after allegedly receiving an ‘improper payment’ from FIFA.

His ban was reduced to four-years following a successful appeal, before the Frenchman decided to resign from UEFA in 2016 and Platini was cleared of all fraud charges in 2022.

This controversy makes Platini an unlikely option for Juventus and Elkann is reportedly looking at alternative options, with no official talks taking place with Del Piero.

The primary aim for Juventus, alongside domestic success, is to reach financial targets and the Bianconeri are hoping to reach self-sustainability in the next five-years.

Will Juventus Break FFP Rules?

The Bianconeri have recently confirmed losses between €40m and €50m for the 2024-25 campaign, which is a drastic improvement on the €200m loss in the previous year.

Financial difficulties have stained Juventus’ reputation throughout history, missing out on European competition in 2023/24 after an alleged accounting scandal involving player trading and salary payments in 2022.

Juve were initially docked 15 points for the 2022/23 campaign after falsely raising player transfer values (known as plusvalenze), but this was reduced after an appeal.

Issues over FFP could arise for Juventus in the coming seasons, as UEFA are set to add stricter regulations that will limit the amount spent on wages, agent fees in comparison to club revenues.

In 2023/24 the ratio sat at 90%, dropping to 80% in 2024/25 and reached 70% at the start of this season, which could impact Juventus in the near future.

The Bianconeri are already considering this possible breach, after the club were linked with a move for Bernardo Silva in January – but question whether they can afford the Portuguese international’s salary.

Igor Tudor’s side were the second-biggest spenders in Serie A during the summer transfer window, as the Bianconeri spent €137m – with only AC Milan spending more (€159m).
