Nikola Milenkovic to remain at Fiorentina

Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is looking increasingly likely to remain at the club this summer while renewing his contract. The 24-year-old has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Inter and Napoli in recent months as he has just a year left on his contract in Florence.

The Bianconeri were expected to make a move for him, once they had finalised the departure of Daniele Rugani while Inter viewed him as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar, should he leave Milan.

Sky Sport Italia and a host of others report that Milenkovic’s agent Fali Ramadani met with Fiorentina directors and coach Vincenzo Italiano today, and came to the conclusion that they would all like to continue together.

Reports indicate that the contract renewal will be a multi-year deal as opposed to the one year extension he penned last summer, with the salary rising to €3m per season net.
