Fiorentina have officially announced the acquisition of midfielder Danilo Cataldi from Lazio on loan with an option to make the move permanent. The transfer marks a significant addition to Fiorentina’s squad as they bolster their midfield options for the upcoming season.
Cataldi brings a wealth of experience to the Viola. Throughout his career, the 30-year-old has not only been a mainstay at Lazio but has also had stints with Crotone, Genoa, and Benevento, showcasing his versatility and adaptability in various team setups.
During his tenure with Lazio, Cataldi made an impressive 246 appearances, contributing 10 goals. His time with the Biancocelesti was marked by success, as he played a part in securing both a Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana, adding valuable silverware to his resume.
The transfer was finalized with Cataldi signing his contract alongside Fiorentina’s Sporting Director, Daniele Pradè. The midfielder also had the opportunity to meet with the team’s coach, Raffaele Palladino, signaling a warm welcome to his new club.
