Fiorentina have completed the signing of Maxime Lopez, freeing up Sofyan Amrabat to join Manchester United. La Viola are thought to have agreed a transfer with the Red Devils for the Moroccan midfielder, and have bought in Lopez to help bolster their midfield. A statement on Fiorentina’s website confirmed the news:
“ACF Fiorentina has announced that it has signed Maxime Baila Lopez on loan from U.S. Sassuolo with the option to buy.
Lopez, born in Marseille, France, on 4 December 1997, has played for Olympique de Marseille and Sassuolo over the course of his career. He featured 101 times for the latter in Serie A and the Coppa Italia. Our new signing has also represented his country at U21 level on 13 occasions.”
