The 23-year-old Argentine center-back arrived in Florence on January 1st, 2025, to begin his new journey with the Viola. Valentini’s signing comes after his contract with Boca Juniors expired at the end of December 2024, allowing him to join Fiorentina on a free transfer.
In their official statement, Fiorentina expressed their delight at securing Valentini’s services: “Fiorentina announces that Nicolas Valentini is, as of today, officially a Viola player and has signed a contract until 2029.”
The club also provided some background on their new acquisition: “Valentini, born on April 6, 2001, has worn the Boca Juniors shirt in recent seasons. The new Gigliati player also boasts 8 appearances with the Argentina Under-23 national team.”
