AC Milan have officially secured the services of Portuguese forward Joao Felix on loan from Chelsea FC. The deal, which has been in the works for some time, was finalized today, marking a significant addition to the Rossoneri squad.

The loan agreement between Milan and Chelsea is a straight loan deal without an option to buy. Milan will pay a loan fee of 2 million euros and cover Felix’s full salary of 3 million euros for the remainder of the season.

In their official statement, AC Milan expressed their delight in welcoming the talented attacker:

“AC Milan is pleased to announce the temporary acquisition of João Félix Sequeira from Chelsea FC. The Portuguese forward has signed a contract with the Rossoneri club until June 30, 2025.”

Born in Viseu, Portugal, on November 10, 1999, Felix developed his skills in the youth academies of Padroense and Porto before joining Benfica. He made his first-team debut for Benfica in 2017 and won the Portuguese league title. In 2019, he moved to Atletico Madrid, where he clinched La Liga, and subsequently played for Barcelona and Chelsea. Throughout his career, João Félix has scored 75 goals in 258 appearances.

Felix made his debut for the Portuguese national team in June 2019 and has since earned 45 caps, scoring 9 goals. He was part of the squad that won the 2019 UEFA Nations League.

The club also announced that João Félix will wear the number 79 shirt for AC Milan.
