Juventus have officially confirmed the signing of Genoa left-back Andrea Cambiaso on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old underwent his Bianconeri medical yesterday and has put pen to paper on a new contract today. The club have confirmed his signing via a statement on their official website:
Andrea Cambiaso has completed a permanent move from Genoa. The 22 year old has signed a contract that keeps him at Juventus until 30 June 2027.
Genoan by birth, Andrea emerges from a positive season, above all from a personal point of view. In his debut Serie A campaign, the 22 year old made 28 appearances in all competitions and stood out especially because of his ability to adapt to top-flight football and to the demands of the different tactics adopted throughout the campaign by Genoa, from wing-back in a 3-5-2 formation to full-back on either side of a four-player defence.
As part of the deal, Radu Dragusin has joined Genoa for €5.5m plus €1.8m in bonuses while Cambiaso costs Juventus €8.5m plus €3m in bonuses.
It’s unclear if the young talent will remain in Turin next season as Bologna are touted to take him on loan for the 2022-23 season.
