Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that Tanguy Ndombele has moved to Napoli on loan for the season. The Frenchman made the move to Spurs in 2019 but struggled to settle in the team and spent the last season on loan with Lyon in Ligue 1.

The 25-year-old completed his Napoli medical yesterday and has been announced as a new signing.  The move is initially on loan with the Partenopei retaining an option to sign him outright for a fee believed to be €30m.

Spurs confirmed the move in a brief statement on their official website:

Tanguy Ndombele has joined Napoli on loan for the 2022/23 season, with an option to make the move permanent.

The midfielder joined us from Olympique Lyonnais in July, 2019. He featured 18 times in all competitions last season, taking his tally to 91 appearances and 10 goals in all competitions.

Tanguy returned to France and Lyon on loan for the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, where he played 15 times, scoring once.
