Roma have finalized the acquisition of promising French midfielder Enzo Le Fée from Stade Rennes, marking a significant addition to their squad. The 24-year-old has committed to a five-year contract with the Italian club after successfully completing his medical examinations.
Le Fée, who celebrated his 24th birthday in February, began his professional journey with FC Lorient’s academy before making a €20m move to Stade Rennes in the summer of 2023. His transfer to Roma represents a slight increase in his market value and his first venture outside of French football.
The young midfielder brings an impressive pedigree to Roma, having accumulated 132 Ligue 1 appearances with seven goals and 14 assists to his name. While he has only one cap for France’s Under-23 team, Le Fée was a regular fixture in the Under-21 side, earning 15 caps and scoring three goals.
A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the news:
“AS Roma is delighted to welcome French midfielder Enzo Le Fee to the club.
The 24-year-old joins from Rennes, having come up through the youth ranks at Lorient.
A France U20, U21 and U23 international, Enzo has made over 130 Ligue 1 appearances and earned himself a burgeoning international reputation with his vision, dynamism and set-piece skills.
Welcome to Roma, Enzo!”
