OFFICIAL: Samuel Dahl Joins Benfica

Start

Roma have officially confirmed the loan transfer of Swedish fullback Samuel Dahl to Benfica, marking a significant move for the young player seeking more playing time.

The loan deal includes a €600,000 loan fee and an attractive option for Benfica to purchase Dahl permanently for €10 million. Additionally, Roma have secured a 20% sell-on clause in the transfer agreement, protecting their financial interests in the player’s potential future value.

After joining Roma from Djurgadens in the summer of 2024, Dahl struggled to establish himself in the first team. Having made only three appearances for the Giallorossi, the Swedish player pushed for a transfer to find more consistent playing opportunities.

With Dahl’s departure, Roma have already moved to replace him, having completed the signing Anass Salah-Eddine from Twente. The move follows the recent transfer of Nicola Zalewski to Inter Milan and represents part of Roma’s ongoing squad restructuring.
