Sassuolo have confirmed the signing of Norwegian midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt on a five-year contract. The 23-year-old has spent the last three seasons at Belgian side Genk, where he won the Belgian cup in 2021.
The Neroverdi confirmed the arrival of the youngster via a statement on the clubs official website:

U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that it has completed the following transfer market operation : THORSTVEDT Kristian (class ’99, midfielder): acquired outright by KRC Genk (Belgium). The Norwegian midfielder has signed a contract that binds him to the neroverdi until 2027
Thorstvedt scored 17 goals in 87 appearances for Genk as well as becoming a mainstay of national team since his debut in 2021.
